Welcome to Candid Conversations! We're so glad to have you here.
Candid Conversations is a podcast produced by Sydney Squires and Madeline Keepman that discusses the LGBT+ community and the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints: how they intersect, interact, and inform each other. This podcast is specifically created for members of the Church who are trying to learn more about the LGBT+ community.
Maybe a family member or loved one has just come out to you, and you're not sure how to respond. Maybe you've seen a lot of unrest on social media about the LGBT+ and Church communities intersecting. Maybe you're trying to figure out how the LGBT+ community fits in with teachings of the Church. This is the podcast for you. Here at Candid Conversations, we highlight members of the LGBT+ community and allies, all members or former members of the Church, to tell real stories.

What can I expect from an episode?
Every episode will open with Sydney and Madeline briefly discussing a few topics and introducing the interviewee of this episode. Then, the 15-20 minute interview plays. Afterwards, Sydney and Madeline spend about 10 minutes discussing the interview, share relevant thoughts and research, and close the episode.
